In our Science class we are beginning to look at the weather. We have had some involved discussions about why the weather is important and how it can influence our everyday lives. We have discussed the types of jobs that can be influenced by the weather and have brainstormed some ideas about predicting weather and its trends.
Every day, as we enter class we are now logging the current weather conditions using the Weatherbug website.
You can access the data from our school weather station by following this link:
http://weather.weatherbug.com/MD/Leonardtown-weather.html?zcode=z6286&zip=20650
Feel free to ask you child to see their weather log. It is in their binder under the Science tab. You should also find a sheet of chart paper. We will be charting some of this data as soon as we collect a bit more. This graphing exercise will allow the students to see temperature trends in a visual format over time.
